Live American Roulette

American Roulette is a variant of roulette in which there are two green colored pockets, numbered 0 and 00, in addition to the normal 36 red and black pockets, for a total of 38 pockets. As in all roulette games, the pockets are evenly placed around the wheel, giving the ball an equal chance of landing in any of the pockets in a given game; American roulette only differs in having a 00 marked green pocket on the wheel, thus reducing the odds that the ball will land on a red/black space on the wheel. As such, the house edge in traditional American roulette is 5.26% compared to 2.7% for European roulette. On top of traditional inside bets that players can find at most tables, American roulette also offers the Basket bet, also known as the five-number bet, which allows players to bet on the zero, double zero, one, two and three pockets at once. The typical payout for such a bet is 6:1.
