888.com announces Santiago Cañizares endorsement deal

Santiago Cañizares, best known for his time as goalkeeper for Valencia CF and the Spanish National Team, will become an official European brand ambassador for 888.com.

Santiago Cañizares has built a dedicated fan base over the years through his exceptional sporting career. Capped 45 times for Spain, he travelled to 3 FIFA World Cup Tournaments and 4 European Cup Championships, and played exactly 500 league matches across his distinguished career. Amongst other honours he won La Liga twice, the UEFA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. Cañizares has also taken part in several races for the Spanish Championship Rally and commentates for the TV network, Canal+.

Utilizing Cañizares' strong brand awareness throughout Spain and Europe will be an integral part of 888.com's 2011-2012 marketing strategy in these regions.
