Azteca is a 20-line video slot game with extra features – a Scatter bonus, Free Games bonus round, a Pick-Type bonus round and a Gamble feature. The game has an archaeological adventure theme and uses reel symbols such as pyramids, backpacks, monkeys and small airplanes. An intro screen is displayed each time the player enters the game. In the intro, you see an attractive and adventurous lady, ready to trek the ancient Aztec trails.


The Gaming Experience

A different reel stop sound is played when a scatter or bonus symbol appears on the reels. During the pick-type bonus round a different sound scheme is used as you are virtually taken inside an ancient Aztec pyramid.

During the Free Games bonus round a different sound and colour scheme is used and the main game control buttons are disabled. During Free Games the upper edge of the game screen displays how many free spins are left, the win multiplier and the accumulated winnings.
After the Free Games and Pick-Type bonus rounds, a screen appears summarizing the feature winnings.


Other Features

Gamble Feature
After a winning spin, you have the option to double the winnings. Clicking the Gamble button opens the gamble page where you must pick a card that is higher than the shown dealer's card.

Wild Symbol
The Wild symbol (Pyramid) can stand for any other symbol (except scatter and bonus), to make the best possible winning combination. There is also a separate payout for several Wild symbols on an active payline.

Scatter Bonus
The Scatter bonus is awarded to players when two or more scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. The Azteca Scatter bonus has a fixed-payout cash prize: the more scatters, the larger the payout multiplier.

Free Games
The Free Games bonus round is entered when three or more Scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. You are awarded 12 free spins with a multiplier of 3. The Free Games round is played at the line bet, coin size and number of lines of the spin that triggered the feature. More Free Games can be won during the bonus round indefinitely.

Pick-Type Bonus Round
The Pick-Type bonus round is entered when three or more bonus symbols appear on an active payline. When 4 or 5 symbols trigger the feature, the total bonus win is multiplied by 5 or 27 respectively. This bonus feature consists of two stages:

In the first stage, you must collect golden statues inside the Chamber of the Gods to win monetary prizes. The statues are picked until the you select one that reveals Collect and ends the bonus round, or one that reveals the Temple of the Sun and takes you to the second stage of the feature.

In the second stage, you are taken to the Temple of the Sun where you must choose one golden orb that reveals the win multiplier. All the winnings from the first stage of the feature are multiplied by the selected multiplier.
