New Brunswick

Under the Gaming Control Act, New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC) is responsible for the conduct and management of all provincial gaming as required by paragraph 207(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The Gaming Control Branch, created under the Act as a branch of the Department of Public Safety, is responsible for the regulation and control of provincial gaming, as well as the regulation, control and licensing of charitable gaming in the province.

Residents of New Brunswick may participate in online lotteries, bingo and interactive games offered by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC), www.alc.ca, and Pro Line Wagers through Pro Line Stadium, https://prolinestadium.alc.ca.

ALC launched its iCasino product — offering islots and itable games including roulette, poker, and blackjack — in New Brunswick in August 2020, making New Brunswick the first Atlantic province to offer online casino-style games. The ALC's online gaming platform at ALC.ca has since expanded to include Digital Instants, iBingo, and iCasino, and is the only legal and regulated online gambling platform in New Brunswick. In fiscal year 2024–25, Atlantic Lottery's iLottery line of business grew its share of the Atlantic online gaming market from 22% to 34%, with a five-year target of reaching 50% of the regional online market.

New Brunswick maintains a state-monopoly model with no private online operators licensed at the provincial level. ALC.ca remains the sole legal and regulated online gambling platform in the province.
