The Reel Life: Sidewalk driver edition
15 Nov 2012
Believe it or not, that's exactly what a Cleveland woman repeatedly did before being caught on videotape by the bus driver, and eventually, by local police. Shena Hardin had her license suspended for 30 days and was ordered to pay a $250 fine. But the best part? The judge in the case ordered her to stand at the scene of the crime, holding a sign that read "Only an idiot would drive on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus" for an hour on two consecutive days.
And since he didn't like her demeanor (smoking cigarettes and texting) the first day, he told her to hold up the sign so people could see it on the second day. Thankfully she listened, and hopefully she won't be driving on any sidewalks again anytime soon.
