A Halloween prank on Irish television saw a weather presenter appear to be struck by lightning.

Caitlín Nic Aiodh of TG4, an Irish-language public broadcast station, was giving the weather forecast for the Galway region when a bolt of lightning hit her. Nic Aiodh screamed and vanished from the screen, and the station cut to an error message. It is likely that this whole routine was, in fact, a completely accurate representation of last night's weather in Galway.

In an even scarier prank, the Irish-language term for "weather forecast" is "réamhaisnéis na haimsire."
