Rick's Cabaret New York, a well-known strip club in midtown Manhattan, will no longer show the Giants games on its TVs. The Giants, at 0-5, have become "too painful to watch," according to a stripper named Monica.
After another devastating loss Sunday, this time a 36-21 defeat at the hands of their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles, it's no surprise that Giants fans are showing their frustration. But this is perhaps the grandest demonstration to date.
Basically, the G-Men are huge party poopers these days.
"There's like a hundred sexy topless girls here and everyone was exceedingly happy until it became clear during the second half that Eli Manning and the Giants were going to lose again," said Alexandra, another stripper.
Look, if anyone understands the importance of positive energy at strip clubs, it's The Reel Life. Eli Manning should never be on a television in a strip club, especially without his helmet on, and especially when he's just thrown his third interception of the third quarter. This move makes sense for everyone involved; it's just a shame it didn't happen sooner.
As for the strippers -- I mean, really, would you expect anything less? Don't pretend like they actually cared about the games to begin with. They want their customers happy, so that they can be happy. It's the circle of life.
