The Reel Life

4 Feb 2010

The Reel Life's love of the online slots is well known, but we also love sports. As a lover of sports, we are addicted to ESPN -- which is why we are not surprised at how a Connecticut reacted when his ESPN was taken away.

According to NBC Connecticut, a Norwalk man was arrested last weekend after allegedly threatening his wife at knifepoint after she canceled ESPN. Police responded to the house of Jerome Walls after getting a call from the man's wife. The wife said Walls threatened her after he learned she had canceled the family's cable package because they couldn't afford it.

Sgt. Lisa Cotto said that "Smalls was most angry over losing his beloved ESPN." He was arraigned on disorderly conduct and threatening charges.

The Reel Life deplores domestic violence and hopes that Smalls is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That being said, we are afraid of what our reaction would be if someone canceled our ESPN.

Let's head to Sweden

The New Year is all about starting things off on the right foot. That certainly happened to 34-year-old "thebarman" on Jan 14, when he hit the jackpot playing the Gladiator slot machine at Casino.com. He started the night off with $95 and collected a total of over $111,000!

Another Swedish player also had a pretty successful start to the New Year. "Suddiz" started off his night with $70 and won a total of over $36,000 playing Captain's Treasure.

Congrats to both Swedes!
