PokerStars to launch Zoom tournaments during MicroMillions festival in March
28 Feb 2013
Zoom Poker, which debuted almost a year ago, is the fast-folding game that has taken the cash tables by storm. Now Zoom will be available for tournaments, with the same innovative option to "Fast Fold" and instantly be moved to a new table with the shared pool of tournament players. Only in the latter stages – the final three tables – will the remaining participants play out the tourney in a standard fashion.
Team Online member Andre "acoimbra" Coimbra, who played all 100 MicroMillions events in the debut festival last year, commented: “As part of my $100 to $100,000 bankroll challenge this year, I’ll be playing a lot of MicroMillions tourneys over the next couple of weeks. It’s such a fun series and it’s one where players of all abilities and bankroll levels can take part to win huge prizes.”
MicroMillions 4 schedule
Highlights from MicroMillions 4 include the $22 Main Event on March 24, which has a $1 million guarantee and at least $150,000 for first, an opening day $1 3x-Turbo rebuy tourney, which comes with a $150,000 guarantee, and two $11 Sunday Storm specials, which each guarantee $300,000.
As with previous MicroMillions festivals, the emphasis is on providing a range of games, formats and stakes to suit PokerStars’ wide range of players, with up to ten tournaments a day and start times (03.00, 05.00, 07.00, 09.30, 12.00, 14.00, 16.30, 19.30, 23.00 – all ET) to suit people from all over the world.
