PokerStars TCOOP 2013 daily round-up

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The first PokerStars.eu TCOOP event of January 24 was a $7.50+R NL Hold’em [3x-Turbo] contest, which attracted over 19,000 runners and close to 90,000 buy-ins by the time the rebuy and add-on period finished. It made for a prize pool of more than $600,000. When the tournament reached the final three players, a deal was discussed, but "Pookez" didn’t like the look of the "chip chop" or ICM numbers, being as he was the shortest stack at the time. He rejected a deal and it turned out to be a great decision, as the Swedish player went on to take down the tournament for $64,813.39 – nearly $20k more than he was offered in the deal discussion.

Meanwhile, "Crim44" from Poland showed how a deal can be profitable by coming third in the $215 NL Hold’em 2x Chance, but walking away with the highest payout at the final table. After a deal was brokered he got knocked out in third but earned $111,128.96 – far more than the $86,412.79 "Risco Zero" from Brazil got for first place. In fifth place was 2011 WCOOP Main Event final tablist "OU THE NICK" from Germany, who won $35,528.80.

TCOOP 2013’s only Razz tournament also took place last night, with "jarmari" from Russia emerging the winner to scoop a five-figure score of $10,187.38. A three-way chop was done, though, which also awarded runner-up "dezho" with $9,116.93 and third-placed "BAZON-dima" with $7,620.98.
