PokerStars launches MicroMillions 9 championship

23 Oct 2014

ONCHAN, Isle of Man -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerStars.eu today announced the MicroMillions 9 championship schedule, which is set to take place from November 6-16, featuring 100 events and $5 million in guaranteed prize money.

The world’s most popular tournament series features buy-ins from just $0.11 up to the $22 No Limit Hold’em Main Event, which has a $1 million guarantee and takes place at 14.30 ET on November 16.
Online satellites are now available in the client from $0.11.

BUBBLE DASH
Making its MicroMillions debut this year is a recently launched tournament format called "Bubble Dash." The format uses variable level timing to enable players to reach the cash relatively quickly (typically about 90 minutes until the bubble bursts). Blinds start at three minutes and gradually increase as the tournament progresses. Not only is it quick to cash, but the lengthening blinds provide more play when the big-money decisions are being made. There are three Bubble Dash tournaments on the schedule – events 10, 51 and 88 – with buy-ins of $2.20, $2.20 and $4.40, and they are all rebuys.

MICROMILLIONS 9 LEADER BOARD
In addition to the tournament prize money, there are rewards for consistent performers in MicroMillions. Here are the prizes up for grabs on the MicroMillions 9 Leader Board:

1st – Free Sunday Million tickets for six months (26 x $215 tickets)
2nd-9th – 5 x $215 Sunday Million tickets ($1,075 in value for each player)
10th-100th – 1 x $215 Sunday Million ticket

ALL-TIME STATS
Across the eight previous MicroMillions championships there has been a total of more than 10.8 million tournament entries, over $67 million in prize money, and the biggest single prize winner was "stygher" from Hungary, who pocketed just over $160k in the MicroMillions 5 Main Event.
