PokerStars hosts "World's Largest Poker Game"

(PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerStars.com announces another record-breaking event, the World's 'Largest' Poker game played by members of the England Rugby Team.

PokerStars, an Official Partner of the England Rugby team, has already broken records for the 'World's Largest Online Poker Tournament' and 'Most Players on an Internet Poker Room', and decided to take on a real-world challenge, with some of the most aggressive and competitive players the poker world has ever seen; England rugby stars James Haskell (Stade Francais), Ben Foden (Northampton Saints) and Delon Armitage. On arrival at the England team base the Pennyhill Park Hotel in Bagshot, Surrey, the boys were surprised to find that they'd be needing brawn as well as brains for this particular game, as they were asked to help unload giant poker chips and cards in preparation for the fierce battle that was to follow.

With the game underway, dealer Armitage had to control the fighting talk between competitors Foden and Haskell, who played aggressively with high raises and re-raises. The game culminated in a thrilling climax, though Haskell did not take well to being on the losing end and exacted his revenge in true rugby style.
