Betway player nabs £25,000 with 4toScore
5 Mar 2018
Tasked with predicting the weekend's first four sides to score from English football's top four divisions, Darren from Southend hit the "random" button on his Betway app, which correctly selected Swansea City, Nottingham Forest, Bristol Rovers and Carlisle United.
Darren said, "To be honest, I'd had an awful week, and it was summed up by falling flat on my face in the snow on Wednesday. I was feeling pretty sorry for myself, and I was sitting on the train looking at the Betway site.
"I've played 4toScore a few times before and had always picked my own teams, but I wasn't feeling lucky after what had happened and hit the 'random' button to see if that would be luckier for me."
Ki Sung-yueng's eighth minute strike sealed the £25,000 for the Southend man, who admitted he couldn't believe it when the news came filtering through.
"I was absolutely shocked when I received the phone call, as I wasn't able to keep an eye on the scores during the day; I didn't believe it.
"This has made such a big difference to my year; I'd had my eye on a few things I wanted to do with the family, and this has made it all possible."
