Full Contact Poker shut down its online poker room Tuesday. Current players now have the opportunity to move their balances to PokerStars as part of an agreement between the two online poker rooms. The move was welcomed by most posters on the FCP message boards, though some players were upset that their pending bonus accounts would not be honored by PokerStars.

Barney Frank's press secretary was tight lipped Tuesday when asked about the next step in the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee's attempts to regulate the Internet gambling industry in the U.S. But he did say that online gambling enthusiasts should continue to contact their representatives to let them know how they feel about the issue.

"The success of this legislation all depends on people out there in America contacting their members of Congress and increasing support for this," Steve Adamske said. "The more support we have, the better off we will be."  read more
