Nem Konto
Your NemKonto is the bank account that all (Danish) government agencies use when they have to pay money to you. It is an ordinary bank account that you (a Danish citizen) already have. You choose which of your regular bank account that you want to use as your NemKonto.
All public authorities of Denmark pay to your NemKonto when they have to pay money to you. There are therefore many advantages NemKonto:
You do not have to go to the bank to cash checks from the government.
Public authorities saves time and money because they spend less time updating your account information.
You can, by logging into the portal, select and modify your account information. It is advantageous for example when switching banks.
