The tournament series is set to take place at Atlantis from 3-14 December 2023, and builds on the momentum generated by the record-breaking 54th annual WSOP held in Las Vegas earlier this year.
WSOP Paradise will feature 15 bracelet events and be headlined by $50 million in guaranteed prize pools, including a $5,000 Main Event with a $15 million total prize pool guarantee, and a $1,500 Mystery Bounty with a $5 million guarantee. In addition, WSOP Paradise will have unparalleled value for High Rollers: a massive $100k event with $5 million guaranteed, a $50k event with $2 million guaranteed, two Pot Limit Omaha events with seven-figure guarantees, and a signature $25,000 GGMillion$ event with a staggering $10 million total prize pool guarantee.
“The timing of WSOP Paradise is perfect as Atlantis unveils a multimillion-dollar transformation of the Atlantis Casino complemented by renovated guest rooms at The Royal and Michelin star chef dining experiences that will be complete in time for the WSOP Paradise event,” said Joe Brunini, Chief Gaming & Customer Development Officer Atlantis Paradise Island, the Bahamas. “We are thrilled to welcome the WSOP Paradise, players and fans this winter to experience the resort and the beautiful Bahamas.”
GGPoker sent 774 players to the 2023 WSOP Main Event and has pledged to send even more unique players to the WSOP Paradise. Online qualifiers, and tournament promotions, including special rates for Atlantis guest rooms for players, will be available online at ggpoker.com starting August 1, 2023. The full schedule of events will be announced shortly after.
“Atlantis Paradise Island will serve as an incredible destination to host the WSOP’s newest must-play series,” said Ty Stewart, SVP & Executive Director of the WSOP. “Poker has made a home at Atlantis for a long time, and we’re excited to bring the WSOP to the destination with a series that can’t be matched.”
Atlantis Paradise Island is undergoing a significant renovation to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of its iconic Royal Towers this year. The Atlantis Casino will be refreshed with modern finishes, shimmering textures, celestial fixtures, and flowing lines that echo the refractions of the sea. Upon entering the smoke-free Atlantis Casino, guests are welcomed with a grander and more elegant sense of space. Other updates include enhancements to table games and slots, an exciting high-limit slots lounge, and an expansion of the exclusive gaming salon.
"GGPoker is truly excited by the prospect of welcoming so many of our players to Atlantis Paradise Island this December," said Paul Burke, Head of Public Relations for GGPoker. "Poker enthusiasts love playing their favorite game in world-class locations, particularly when traveling with family or friends - WSOP Paradise allows players to combine unmissable WSOP tournament action and a luxury resort experience into an unbeatable holiday adventure!"
The Atlantis Casino also introduces the lively bar and lounge, Bar Sol, offering a perfect perch to take in the excitement on the casino floor, enjoy a pre-or post-dinner drink with live music nightly, or celebrate a big win at the slots. Complementing Bar Sol is the Atlantis Casino’s Moon Bar – well known for its sleek marine habitat centerpiece behind the bar with moon jellyfish – offers a sophisticated beverage program with classic cocktails, an extensive wine list, draft beer and a selection of cigars.
Silan, which translates to “date syrup” in Persian, is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant by James Beard Foundation Award-winning Chef Alon Shaya that opens this fall and is located on the casino floor. Dishes will incorporate ingredients local to the Bahamas, including Creamy Whipped Hummus with tahini; Borekas with everything bagel spice and local honey; Spiny Lobster Shakshuka; and Za’Atar Fried Chicken with spicy mayonnaise, among others.
