WSOP announces online bracelet events for 2019
21 Feb 2019
While it wasn’t until earlier this decade that online poker was permitted in the United States, WSOP.com — just like WSOP in the brick-and-mortar environment — is the longest-running online operator in the U.S., first opening in 2013, and now offering online gold bracelet events for the fifth consecutive year in 2019.
After shattering (its own) records for the largest U.S. online poker events of the year in 2018, WSOP.com believes a consistent schedule – same day and time each week – will lead to even bigger online gold bracelet events this year.
Every Sunday from 2 June to 14 July at 3:30 p.m. PT, WSOP.com will offer one of its signature one-day tournaments, where participants can go from couch to champion from the comfort of their own confines. WSOP.com remains the exclusive operator of WSOP gold bracelet events – the only one offering the chance to win an official gold bracelet in a digital environment.
“Just like the land-based WSOP, the annual summer series is also the best time for online poker players in the U.S. to chase big prize pools and WSOP gold bracelets,” said WSOP.com head of online poker Bill Rini. “WSOP.com is offering a consistent gold bracelet schedule this year, plus non-stop satellites to both the online and live events, giving players the best opportunity to participate in the 50th Annual WSOP.”
There will be two Wednesday online gold bracelet events, on 19 June ($500 Turbo Deepstack) and 3 July ($3,200 High Roller). They will start at 3:30 p.m. PT, meaning all nine online gold bracelet events will start at the same time.
Eligibility for New Jersey players in WSOP.com online gold bracelet events has yet to be determined.
There have been nine online bracelets awarded in the history of WSOP.com, with nine more on tap this year. The previous nine online gold bracelet events awarded $10,002,326 in prize money. Entering 2019, WSOP.com has awarded 2,968 seats into WSOP events, including 321 Main Event seats.
WSOP.com is more than just online gold bracelets though. It is also the best way to affordably qualify for WSOP events, with non-stop satellite offerings, and of course the popular 25-Seat Scramble, awarding at least 25 seats into the WSOP Main Event. The 25-Seat Scramble will be held Sunday, 30 June at 4 p.m. PT this year, guaranteeing at least 25 seats into the biggest live poker tournament of the year – the WSOP Main Event.
Satellites begin today on WSOP.com. Go to the lobby to look at all the options. There will be free rolls at 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 p.m. ET today into the first online gold bracelet event. Plus, a slew of satellites from $1-$30 are offered regularly to qualify for official WSOP gold bracelet event. Of course, WSOP.com is also home to online cash games, with a wide variant of price points and offerings for players of all levels. The WSOP.com lobby is freshened in real time, providing up-to-the-minute offerings.
To participate on WSOP.com, players must be 21 years of age, and physically inside the borders of an eligible state. You do not have to be a resident of the state to register for play or participate, but all game action must be done while inside state borders. It is important to note the following in regards to WSOP.com online play:
- Players must be physically inside the borders of an eligible state at the time of the tournament.
- Pot-Limit Omaha events are not available on mobile version of software
- Tournament tickets cannot be used for re-entry
- Tournament tickets cannot be used for Knockout bounty tournaments
- Players have 30 seconds to re-enter re-entry events and must have enough funds in their account to do so at the time of re-entry
