World Poker Exchange and FHM UK Host London Open
ANTIGUA – (PRESS RELEASE) -- World Poker Exchange, one of the world's fastest growing online poker sites, will host The London Open, a high stakes $2,000,000 minimum prize pot offline poker tournament in partnership with FHM UK and The Bravo Channel, the UK's leading men's entertainment network, on August 4th through August 7th.
The World Poker Exchange London Open will be the first lifestyle poker tournament and will be held at a unique venue in London with exclusive social outings each night of the tournament, attracting both world-renowned poker players and celebrities from around the globe. The overall tournament will be filmed as a primetime TV special, "World Poker Exchange London Open," and will also document the highs and lows of 10 FHM qualifying players as they play for the millions of dollars prize pool which will be broadcast on Flextech's Bravo and freeview channel Ftn, reaching 13 million homes.
Beginning January 27 and running through June 2005, the FHM/World Poker Exchange Poker School will be highlighted in advertorials, video tutorials and promotions in FHM magazine, Zoo magazine, FHM.com and twelve emap radio stations across the UK, including KISS FM in London, inviting 5 million FHM readers and countless listeners to participate in a free qualifying tournament for the World Poker Exchange London Open.
