William Hill enters Austrian market

To coincide with their launch into the Austrian market, William Hill Online has commissioned a TV, print and internet advertising campaign starring the British-born Hollywood actor - John Cleese. The campaign, which started last week, uses the tagline 'Wetten wie die Briten' or 'Bet like the British'.
International betting analysts estimate the Austrian market is worth around €110 million per annum, and William Hill Online believe they are well positioned to become a big player in this competitive, but lucrative market.
The new site, which took months of research and development, will incorporate the most up-to-date and relevant sports betting markets – and will also put a strong focus on Austrian football. The company, who are regarded as the market leaders in football betting, will be offering punters up to 100 pre-match (before the game) or in-play (during the match/live) markets on Austrian domestic matches.
