William Hill Anticipate Profits Boost

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the UK Press Associations: "Bookmaker William Hill today said it was odds-on to deliver full-year profits at the top end of expectations.
"A close finish to the Premiership title race last season and the emergence of Chelsea as a championship contender fuelled interest among punters at its 1,581 betting shops in the UK.
"…Shares in the bookmakers have nearly doubled since it floated in June 2002 to a high of 448.5p today.
"…Analysts expect the group to double its pre-tax profits to £167.7m (US$309.6 million) for the year to December 30…"
