Wheel of Fortune Dollars Pays Texas Tourist $3.8 Million
LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Gracie Salinas had to borrow a dollar from her mother to play the $3 maximum on her second spin of the Wheel of Fortune dollar machine and, as a result, she says she'll split her $3.8 million jackpot with her parents. Salinas, a 33-year-old dental assistant from Corpus Christi, Tex., said she was uncertain how much she won until other players explained that she had won the MegaJackpots top award.
In addition to helping make a better life for her parents, Salinas said she hopes to buy a larger house and spoil her three children. She said her husband -- who gave her the trip to Las Vegas as a Christmas present while he stayed home with their kids -- works very long hours in his job in the petrochemical industry. Her gift to him, she said, was coming home a millionaire
