Washington County man wins Birthday Dough instant game jackpot
Pennsylvania Lottery's Pittsburgh Regional Manager Terri Hopkins and other Lottery officials presented a ceremonial check to Richard Harris Jr. at the Shree Enterprises/SUNOCO in Washington where he bought his winning ticket April 23.
Harris, who is a sales consultant at the Budd Baer Car Dealership in Washington, said he occasionally buys instant tickets.
"I had a birthday earlier in the month, so I decided to take a chance and asked for a Birthday Dough scratch-off ticket," said Harris. "I never imagined I would win the top prize."
As of May 19, 11 top prizes remain in the Birthday Dough game. The $50,000 Birthday Dough started with 15 top prizes and nine chances to win on each ticket. There are more than 250,000 prizes from $20 to $500 in the game.
