Viktor "Isildur1" Blom wins $10k SCOOP Main Event

DUBLIN, Ireland (PRESS RELEASE) -- Full Tilt Poker's Viktor "Isildur1" Blom proved himself to be one of the greatest players in online poker history by taking down the SCOOP $10K Main Event last night on PokerStars, winning over $1,000,000. The SCOOP High Main Event featured 580 runners, including some of the world's best pros, with the 23-year-old member of Full Tilt Poker's "The Professionals" coming out on top.

The final table culminated in Blom and Dutch pro Noah "Exclusive" Boeken going heads up. Isildur1 faced an uphill struggle early on, with Boeken leading 3-1 in chips, but he grinded away and won several small pots to catch up and take the chip lead by the 77th hand.

Blom then stretched his lead to more than 3-1 and after a quick fire round, his Qc-Tc beat Boeken’s Ks-5c. On the flop, Js-Kc-9s gave Viktor a straight against Boeken's top pair and as all the chips went in and the hand played out Isildur1 became the SCOOP $10K Main Event champion.

After a tough few days at the cash game tables, Blom was determined to turn things around in the SCOOP Main Event and predicted that he would end the week in glory.

"I feel like a million bucks right now, of course!" Blom exclaimed following his huge victory. "Winning the SCOOP Main Event is very special to me because I don’t play many tournaments, but when I do, I enjoy testing myself against the best tournament players, and they all play SCOOP. I am very happy now, but after a long sleep, I think I'll bring my winnings back to the Full Tilt Poker tables to have some cash game fun!"

This result is the latest chapter in the Swede's still young career, and in the coming weeks and months he'll set his sights on more live titles including the $50,000 Players Championship at the WSOP and online during Full Tilt Poker's FTOPS XXIII.
