Victor Chandler launches alternative poker room
4 Nov 2011
Poker players from Israel, Canada, Norway and Russia - who were subject to an IP block on Tuesday November 1 - can now play online poker again with Victor Chandler Poker via the Bet Victor site and the Microgaming network.
The decision to exclude players from the these countries by the Swedish-based Entraction Network is as a result of the company’s purchase by U.S. gaming giant IGT in June.
News of the exclusion was announced at the beginning of September giving Victor Chandler less than two months to provide an alternative solution for it’s existing players from the affected countries.
Head of poker at Victor Chandler, Andy Horne said “We are very happy to be the first to have found an alternative solution for players from the Entraction banned countries and in such a short space of time.
“We’d like to welcome our old players to their new home and are confident that they’ll be happy to return to their favoured and trusted poker site”.
Players on the alternative poker room will not only benefit from a slightly higher liquidity and game choice but also, exclusive promotions with the traditional Victor Chandler twist including a €500 Reload Bonus for all existing players, a €5,000 Welcome Freeroll taking place this evening, November 4, and a €20,000 Share Scheme running between November 6 and 25.
