UltimateBet sponsors online poker forum challenge
MIAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- How do you settle the score on which online poker forum is home to the best players? With a few hands of Texas Hold'em, of course. UltimateBet today announced that it's adding over $5,000 in prize money to an inter-forum online tournament series designed to see which online poker forum is home to the best players.
"UltimateBet recognizes the importance and value of online poker forums to its community of players," stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet's Cardroom Consultant. "Not only do they provide valuable information, but they've also helped countless players hone their game to become champions on the world stage. We're thrilled to be a part of this exciting series that will determine once and for all which forum is king."
The first Online Forum Challenge Freeroll gets underway on December 20th, 2008 at 3pm ET. The Texas Hold'em event features a $1,000 prize pool plus an additional $500 in prizes for winning forums.
The second tournament, dubbed Everyone's a Winner, is set for December 21st at 3pm ET. The tournament features an additional $1,000 added to the regular prize pool generated from $5 buy-ins. Another $2,000 in UltimateBet tournament entries plus $1,000 in prizes for winning forums are also up for grabs.
What's more, all players registered in the Everyone's a Winner tournament who have funded their account at least once in the last 30 days leading up to the start of the event will receive $10 in their player accounts within 48 hours of the completion of the tournament.
UltimateBet's Annie Duke is slated to play in both online poker tournaments. The player who knocks her out will receive a one-year paid membership to the Poker Player's Alliance.
To be eligible for either event, players must have an account at UltimateBet and pre-register at www.OnlineForumChallenge.com by 3pm ET on Wednesday, December 17.
