UK Town May Get Own Lottery

NEWMARKET, United Kingdom – As reported by the Cambridge News: "Newmarket could hit the jackpot by having its own lottery.
"The town could benefit from the income from the lottery which could offset the Council Tax.
"The idea is being considered by the town council after it was raised by former mayor Coun George Lambton.
"…Coun Lambton, whose father and grandfather were racehorse trainers, said other towns which had taken on lotteries had contracted them out to lottery operators…"
