UK increases tax on fixed odds betting terminals

LONDON, England -- The budget may have given good news to Britain's bingo halls, but the government has raised taxes on Fixed Odds Betting Terminals, The Guardian reported.Tax has been raised from 25 percent an increase from 20 percent, the report said.
As a result of the news, high street bookmakers saw their shares fall somewhat, according to The Guardian report.
