17 May 2016
The World Cup winning footballer, capped 63 times for the French national team, will appear in UFX.com's French "Trade with the Pros" advertising and marketing campaigns as part of an initial one-year deal.
The former Monaco, Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder joins UFX.com ahead of the European Football championships, which begins in France next month.
"Throughout my playing career, I always wanted to be a part of teams who chased greatness like Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and, of course, France," said Petit. "UFX.com shares that same vision and I look forward to helping the brand achieve their goals in France and beyond."
Petit is the second professional athlete in UFX.com's stable of brand ambassadors, joining England rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall MBE.
Similar to Tindall, Petit is eager to develop his trading skills ahead of the excitement that the European Championships will bring. Both ambassadors will help to grow the UFX.com brand and increase awareness of the trader's services within their respective territories.
"We are excited to have a distinguished talent such as Emmanuel Petit joining the UFX family, and we look forward to the countless possibilities such a unique partnership affords us both," said Dennis de Jong, Managing Director at UFX.com.
Petit scored the third goal in France's 3-0 victory at the 1998 World Cup final, and retired from competitive football in 2004.
UFX.com recently won a second consecutive Broker of the Year award from European FX.
