19 Jun 2007

LOS ANGELES, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -– TVG, America's Horseracing Network, today announced that through its partnership with At The Races in the United Kingdom, the network will carry live racing from the prestigious Royal Ascot meeting in Ascot, England to viewers in the U.S. for the first time for both television and wagering purposes. The Royal Ascot meeting, England's preeminent horseracing event, runs Tuesday, June 19 through Saturday, June 23 at Ascot Racecourse in the Royal County of Berkshire.

"Tracing its origins to 1711, the Royal Ascot meeting is an internationally renowned sporting and social occasion that attracts more than 300,000 race-goers to Southern England each year. The centuries-old event, attended by Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Party, combines world-class horseracing with tradition, pageantry, fashion and style, and is the highlight of the British summer social calendar.

"TVG will air exclusive live coverage of every race during the Royal Ascot meeting, including the following stakes races, the richest of the five-day event:

"- Group I $700,000 Prince Of Wales's Stakes, a 1-1/4 miles race for four-year-olds and up (June 20 at 10:45 a.m. ET)

"- Group I $700,000 Golden Jubilee Stakes – the British leg of the Global Sprint Challenge – a six-furlong race for three-year-olds and up (June 23 at 10:45 a.m. ET)

"TVG's Greg Wolf, Frank Lyons and Gary Stevens will be live on-air from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 20, offering expert commentary, updates and analysis on the day of the Prince of Wales's Stakes, the most important day of the Royal Ascot meeting.

""This is an important milestone for Royal Ascot and horseracing fans everywhere," said Matt Imi, CEO, At The Races. "We are extremely proud to partner with TVG to bring the excitement of this world-class event to U.S. audiences."
