Turn $10 into a PokerStars Championship package
7 Nov 2016
Spin & Go's are three-player poker tournaments, which feature a random prize pool that can be won in a matter of minutes. Running until 4 December, the PokerStars Championship Bahamas (the new brand incorporating all PokerStars Live events, including PokerStars Caribbean Adventure) Spin & Go packages include a buy-in to the $5,000 PokerStars Championship Bahamas Main Event, nine night's accommodation for the player and their guest at the Atlantis at Paradise Island Resort and Casino, over $1,000 towards travel expenses and a further $1,000 credited to spend upon arrival. The PokerStars Championship Bahamas is one of the most prestigious events on the poker calendar and the event is even more significant this year as it marks the first ever PokerStars Championship.
Spin & Go tournaments, which have been very popular with new, recreational and mobile poker players, are a great way for players to win their way to the PokerStars Championship Bahamas and take a shot at winning a life-changing prize. European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 12 Grand Final qualifier Asan Umarov, 38, turned his €10 Spin & Go investment into a €9,000 prize package. Umarov not only became the first player from Kazakhstan to make an EPT final table but ended up winning an astonishing €305,660. Prior to the festival, he had only cashed twice in his life, for a combined haul of just $4,155.
"For as little as $10, players can win a package worth enough money to cover all of their expenses at one of the most prestigious poker events in the world as well as a main event seat which could potentially result in winning life-changing money," said Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. "I'm looking to win the first ever PokerStars Championship title and you can join me for a breakfast Q&A where I'll give my top tips for taking on live poker in the hope that it will give players an extra boost of confidence before playing the main event."
Negreanu, who is number one on the all-time money list for live tournament winnings with $32.6 million to his name, will run a Q&A session before play starts for the $5,000 PokerStars Championship Bahamas Main Event. The Q&A, which will be open to all players, guests and media, will focus on adapting to and dominating live poker.
Spin & Go's launched on PokerStars in September 2014 to great success and worldwide popularity because they are fast and easy for those new and old to poker. They are especially popular for their ease-of-use on mobile devices because each tournament lasts only a few minutes. Since their initial launch, PokerStars players have taken advantage of a number of different prize options such as the $1 million Spin & Go, and special physical prizes such as in the Cristiano Ronaldo edition. No fewer than 14 poker players have become instant millionaires from winning $1 million in special edition PokerStars Spin & Go's over the last two years.
Players can now win their way to the Bahamas with new PokerStars Championship Bahamas Freerolls, which will award three prize packages, each worth $10,565. To be in with a chance of winning one of these packages players must qualify for PokerStars Championship Bahamas Freerolls played on 13, 20 and 27 November, all at 20:00 ET. In each Freeroll there is one package up for grabs, plus a share of $1,000 in added prizes.
