SINGAPORE – As reported by the Channel News Asia: "It is about one month before the government announces its decision on the integrated resort proposal in Singapore.

"But it is clear that the stakes are high if not getting even higher.

"US casino operator Harrah's Entertainment revealed that it has hired Daniel Libeskind as the main architect for its proposal on Thursday.

"Mr Libeskind is the master planner of the 1,776 foot Freedom Tower at Ground Zero in New York City.

"Channel NewsAsia also understands one of the top architects in Singapore, Liu Thai Ker, is also working with Eighth Wonder on its concept plan.

"…Australia's Tabcorp has its trump card in Arata Isozaki, the architect best known for building the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Los Angeles.

"…The government has said that design will be a critical factor when awarding the project…"
