Top-10 November Nine tidbits

It took eight days and 78 grueling hours of play, but we are finally down to this year's final table at the World Series of Poker Main Event. Who will be playing for poker's most coveted prize in four months? Chances are, you haven't heard of many of them, so here are the top-10 tidbits for this year's November Nine (with help from Nolan Dalla).

10. Senti with a first time cash

Jason Senti is a 25-year-old professional poker player from St. Louis Park, Minn. This is his first cash at a WSOP event. He is the short stack with 7.625 million in chips.

9. Cheong has WSOP title experience

Like Senti, 24-year-old Joseph Cheong is a poker professional. The California native won a WSOP Circuit event three months ago. He will go into November with the third largest stack with 25.525 million chips.

8. Dolan continues impressive play

Florida native John Dolan is one of eight players in their 20s who made the final table. The 24-year-old poker pro has cashed three times in this WSOP and six times overall. His 46.25 million chips are good for second place.

7. Duhamel is the man to beat

Canadian Jonathan Duhamel is the man everyone is chasing as he has 65.97 million chips. One hand turned his entire tournament around as he was able to defeat Matt Affleck heads-up after catching a generous river card. The 22-year-old pro is the youngest member of the table and has cashed three times at this year's WSOP.

6. The Grinder is the celebrity

Michael "the Grinder" Mizrachi is by far the most well-known player at this year's final table. He won the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship in June and took home over $1.5 million. Three of his brothers also cashed in this year's Main Event, and the 29-year-old Miami resident has 14.45 million chips. He is the only player left with a WSOP bracelet.

5. Jarvis trying to make history

Matthew Jarvis, 25, is trying to become the first Canadian to win the WSOP Main Event (Duhamel would also make history if he were to win). This is Jarvis's first WSOP cash, as he is primarily an online player. He has 16.7 million chips.

4. Racener has WSOP experience as well

John Racener, like Joseph Cheong, has a WSOP Circuit event championship to his name. The 24-year-old Florida resident won the 2007 Main Event championship at Harrah's Atlantic City and has more than $500,000 in earnings. He has 19.05 million chips.

3. Italian Candio makes history

Filippo Candio is the first Italian to make the WSOP Main Event final table. The 26-year-old from Cagliari is a poker professional and has 16.4 million in chips.

2. Nguyen is the senior citizen

Cuong "Soi" Nguyen is the only nonprofessional at the final table. He is also the elder statesman at the age of 37. The salesman from California cashed in the 2008 Main Event and is the second smallest stack with 9.65 million chips.

1. This is a strong, young final table

Eight of this year's nine final table players are under the age of 30. Those eight players also consider themselves poker professionals. Six of the nine are Americans. Casino City's Vin Narayanan said that this year's November Nine was the strongest he's seen in four years covering the WSOP Main Event.
