Top 10 land-based slots I want to try

27 Oct 2025

By Dan Ippolito
Throughout my gambling career, I usually tend to play table games more than slot machines. However, I have dabbled with a few slots as well. Over the years, I have seen influencers such as Vegas Matt and other YouTubers trying thousands of different slots and several have grabbed my attention. Here, I take a look at 10 games that I want to try the next time I see them in a casino.

10. Cash Machine
This isn’t a very traditional slot style but it is one I have seen that I think would be fun to play. When you spin, there are three reels and in order to win, you need to land numbers on the reels.

For example, if you land a 1 on first reel, a zero on second reel, and a zero on the last reel, you will win 100x. While this game can really go quick, it is different and something that is worth giving a shot.

9. Dollar Storm
There a many different themes and variations of Dollar Storm to try but they all have the same base play.

All need three scatter symbols in order to trigger the bonus spins. Or if you land six balls with numerical values on them, the hold and spin round is triggered.

I have read about several massive jackpots hitting on these machines so it has to be worth a try.

8. Coin Trio Fortune Trails
Coin Trio Fortune Trails is a progressive bonus slot where any colored coin can trigger the bonus that correlates with the color of the coin. Unlocking several bonuses in a single spin is the hope so you can enjoy bigger payouts.

If you are less patient and don’t want to watch spins drain the money you put into the machine, there is a Bonus Buy feature where players can pay a value to immediately get into a bonus game.

7. Frankenstein
It is Halloween this Friday so it makes sense to add a spook-themed slot to our list.

Frankenstein, while I have not played it, I have seen some people in the bonuses of this slot at Encore Boston Harbor.

The It’s Alive bonus is when the It’s Alive symbol appears in the first reel and then across the next four reels, players hope for as many Frankenstein heads as possible because each head that appears will award a value from the top of the screen. The bonus spins round is awarded when three Free Spin symbols appear across the reels.

6. Super Bowl Jackpots
If you are walking around a casino and this slot is somewhere on the floor, you have a good chance of hearing the chaotic audio because there is something happening on basically every spin.

A cool attribute of Super Bowl Jackpots is that you can customize it by choosing your favorite NFL team which then becomes the theme of the slot. For big wins or bonus triggers, you will see some iconic plays from the NFL team you chose on the screen.

It has three progressive bonuses and a two-minute drill, which is where the sound really makes its presence felt. During the two minute drill, players try to connect lines of numerical values to add to their bankroll and they have two minutes to add as many as they can.

5. Piggy Bankin’
I have tried the demo of this game on my phone before but I have never played it live in person for real money.

The Piggy Bank Lock It feature is one that will grab your attention. If you get six pigs in one spin, the feature is triggered and your goal is to create as many large pigs as possible. In order to do that, you must try to land as many pigs in an area so they connect during the bonus spins. The larger the pig, the bigger the rewards.

If you land three scatter symbols, the bank symbol, you get an option of choosing bonus spins or the Piggy Bank Lock It bonus.

4. Huff n’ Even More Puff
The Huff n’ Puff series has a number of variations but the one I am focusing on is Huff n’ Even More Puff.

It looks like a lot of fun but I have also seen people rip through their bankroll on this slot. However, if they get into a bonus, they come away with some big winnings.

The Wheel Bonus is the one you want. Triggered by landing three buzz saws, the wheel will then spin and decide which bonus feature you will receive. However, if the wheel lands on “Upgrade” you spin the top wheel which has better rewards available.

To get the Hat Bonus, players must land six hard hats on the reels in a single spin. Players can upgrade each hat by landing an additional one on that space during the bonus spins. If you create a few mansions in this bonus, large awards await.

3. Mo’ Mo’ Mo’ Mummy
From Aristocrat Gaming, Mo’ Mo’ Mo’ Mummy is a progressive slot that includes three bonus features that can be triggered separately or even all at once for a massive potential bonus.

In the bonus games, the Mummy himself collects diamonds when they appear on the grid and when he collects enough diamonds, he increases in size, leading to bigger payouts.

2. Pinball
Older slot games also have my attention and one in particular. Pinball I have seen people play in videos and it Is quite intriguing.

The older-style slot features nine lines and in order to get into the bonus game, players must land three Pinball symbols in a winning line. In the bonus game, players get five Pinball shots and a ball will shoot into an area with values. The ball will eventually land on a value and that is awarded to your winnings.

1. Buffalo Link
It is probably one of the most popular slot games out there. Buffalo Link is also from Aristocrat Gaming and if you’ve played it or seen it been played, you are familiar with the iconic “Buffaloooo” audio when a line of Buffalos hits.

This is easily the next slot I will play because of how many gambling influencers I have seen play it and the potential of the bonus games.

If you land eight buffalos with a numerical value, the hold and spin bonus is awarded. Landing three coins in a single spin awards the bonus spins mode where the hold and spin can also be triggered.
