10. Bay Mills Resort and Casino to break ground on expansion in Northern Michigan
After years of planning, Bay Mills Resort & Casino will break ground on an expansion project next spring.
The three-story waterfront resort expansion includes adding 134 additional rooms with balconies, a deli, spa with massage therapy rooms, pool with splash pad, hot tubs, nail salon, fitness center, arcade, conference space, and storefront.
The exterior plans include new fishing piers, gardens, gazebos and outdoor patios, as well as marina upgrades. The $65 million project is expected to be completed in 2024.
9. Hell’s Kitchen opens at Caesars Atlantic City
Last month, Caesars Entertainment announced the opening of the first Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen on the East Coast at Caesars Atlantic City.
The restaurant seats 233 people across three levels and guests can enjoy items made popular by the show, including Chef Ramsay’s signature classics like Beef Wellington, the Hell’s Kitchen Burger and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Plus, guests can also choose from a selection of classic and signature cocktails ranging from traditional Negroni and Old Fashioned to the Smoke on the Boulevard.

8. Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena unveils expansion
On 12 October, Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. hosted a preview event for the Washington Capitals home opener against the Boston Bruins. The event was a celebration of new offerings the sportsbook has brought to the district, including:
- The grand opening of the sportsbook’s new restaurant, Guy Fieri’s DC Kitchen + Bar, the celebrity chef’s first full-service restaurant in Washington, D.C.
- The debut of the first team-announced jersey patch in the history of the National Hockey League.
- The expansion of the first sportsbook opened in a U.S. professional sports venue now having 20 self-service sports betting kiosks, 13 additional since opening in 2021.
7. Kansas Star Casino opens FanDuel Sportsbook
On 8 September, an official FanDuel Sportsbook ribbon-cutting event at Kansas Star Casino took place with a ceremonial first bet placed by former Green Bay Packer wide receiver Jordy Nelson.
The Kansas sportsbook is open year-round and features four betting windows, 28 HD televisions, seating for 40 customers, and 20 IGT PlaySports self-service betting kiosks.

6. Mandalay Bay announces $100 million remodel of convention center
Two weeks ago, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino unveiled details around the $100 million remodel of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center.
Technology enhancements will include RFID locks on all meeting room doors as an added convenience for meeting planners as well as the installation of over 200 new motion detection cameras throughout all spaces.
In addition to the convention center, Mandalay Bay continues to upgrade and add amenities and experiences throughout the resort including the upcoming remodel of all 424 rooms and suites at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas set to take place next year; the addition of Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar in summer 2023, and the complete redesign of STRIPSTEAK scheduled to debut in early 2023.

5. ARCADE at Horseshoe Las Vegas is now open
The ARCADE at Bally's - Las Vegas is now open as the resort continues its rebrand into Horseshoe Las Vegas.
The 7,000-square-foot arcade features more than 80 supersized games, including classics like Skee-Ball, air hockey, Rock the Rim and a claw machine, Big One Extreme.
Additionally, players are transported into immersive adventures via virtual reality with games like "King Kong" and "Mission Impossible," a four-player interactive gaming experience.
Games are played with The ARCADE's cashless currency on re-loadable cards. The cards can be loaded with a credit card or cash; instead of tickets, points are accumulated on the cards to redeem larger prizes.

4. Two DraftKings sportsbooks open in Washington
In mid-September, Tulalip Resort Casino and Quil Ceda Creek Casino celebrated the opening of two retail DraftKings Sportsbooks.
Quil Ceda Creek Casino’s DraftKings Sportsbook features 20 sports betting kiosks and three over-the-counter ticket windows. The four video walls in The Stage span a total of 896-square-feet, comprised of 13 million pixels, which can display up to 10 different views simultaneously. The DraftKings Sportsbook also features a beer and wine bar, with food offerings available nearby for guests.
The Tulalip sportsbook is located next to Blazing Paddles and features and 840-square-foot video wall for guests to watch their bets hopefully pay off.
3. Grand Victoria Casino Elgin unveils new additions
Grand Victoria Casino Elgin in Illinois debuted its new Caesars Sportsbook and World Series of Poker Room with a grand opening last Friday that featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and special guest appearance by World Series of Poker Main Event Champion and Poker Hall of Fame inductee, Chris Moneymaker.
The 2,100-square-foot sportsbook features three betting windows and five self-service betting kiosks, while the 4,400-square-foot poker room boasts 20 poker tables. The new shared space features a full-service bar equipped with bar top gaming, 20 large-screen LED TVs, and a lounge area where players can enjoy a drink and a meal from The Slice Pizzeria & Pasta or Crave Deli.
Immediately following the ribbon-cutting, Moneymaker met with players, signed autographs, and posed for photos before playing in a Shoot-Out Poker Tournament with a $25,000 prize pool and a $5,000 bounty.

2. Gold Strike unveils $4 million High Limits room
Back in September, Gold Strike Casino Resort celebrated the opening of its newly renovated and expanded $4 million High Limit gaming area.
The new 6,600-square-foot elevated gaming area at the Mississippi casino includes exclusive cage and credit services, dedicated cocktail service, and a VIP lounge.
Located near the resort’s hotel lobby, the expanded High Limits gaming area offers 111 high limit slot machines and nine table games, including two Baccarat tables.
“Today’s grand opening of the new High Limit gaming area is the latest milestone in Gold Strike’s ongoing investment in the Mid-South market,” said Gold Strike General Manager Max Fisher. “We have an unwavering commitment to improving the guest experience and this luxurious new space combines modern technology with casual elegance and comfort.”
1. M Resort Spa Casino announces $206 million expansion
The M Resort expansion project for the Nevada property’s second tower will add approximately 384 rooms, bringing its total to 774 rooms and suites.
Along with the additional guest rooms and suites, M Resort will also expand its meeting space, update amenities, and announce additional local partnerships later.
Designed by Marnell Architecture, the M Resort Spa Casino expansion and second resort tower project is slated to begin construction in 2023.
