Speaking with the winner on the phone, the casino wished her congratulations and asked about the quick game that made her a millionaire.
She said, "I collected the last card during the jackpot round and pressed enter quickly, because I didn't expect a big win. I was so wrong."
The jackpot, constituting 1,126,200 DKK, was the biggest ever won at the casino, a payout of 9,009x the original bet.
"I wasn't sure if I was going to wake up my husband, who had to wake up early the next day. I did, luckily, and of course, he was really happy," said the winner.
She didn't say what she's going to spend her cash on, but a vacation to someplace warm and a few extra Christmas presents certainly aren't out of the question.
"I'm really happy for the big win," she said. "I feel there are some things that haven't gone my way in life, so it's great to have good luck for once! It's been nice to share it with friends and family, who are all happy on my behalf."
