This Week in Gambling: The new faces of Las Vegas?

As we inch slowly closer to the Las Vegas reopening, it's apparent that things will not be "business as usual" when Vegas casinos open their doors. All sorts of coronavirus protocols will be in place to prevent the spread of disease, and those changes will take some getting used to for casino players. Also, we discuss the effect that the pandemic has had for online gambling in America.

The state Gaming Control Board is considering restricting the number of people allowed inside a casino at one time: “We want reduced occupancy to ensure compliance with social distancing,” Gambling Control Board Chairwoman Sandra Morgan said.

If companies were directed to restrict admissions, the Nevada gaming regulator might have to temporarily suspend other regulations that direct companies to be open to the public.

Las Vegas Sands and Wynn Resorts each have announced they plan to use thermal cameras to conduct temperature checks on guests and staff.
