The Reel Life: Shoe bandit edition
27 Mar 2014
Miller was arrested in 1999 for attempting to rob a shoe store in Toms River, N.J. and was sentenced to prison for 15 years. But he apparently did not learn his lesson. Just one day after being freed from jail, Miller went back to the exact same store and tried to rob it again. He is, of course, back behind bars.
"I have no idea what he was thinking," a local officer said. "We thought it was extremely strange ourselves that he would just rob the same store a second time so many years later."
The Reel Life doesn't think this is strange at all. Leaving "Raising Arizona" references aside, haven't our parents always taught us that, "if at first we don't succeed, try again." Miller is never going to become a successful shoe bandit if he decides to quit after failing just once. Shoe banditry takes practice and repetitions.
According to a woman who was working at the store, Miller seemed determined not to botch the holdup this time around, and was particularly aggressive with the workers in the store. She said Miller was "more menacing" this time around.
That's the spirit, Christopher Miller! Next time, go back in there, but with even more determination! They'll be waiting for you for 15-25 years (pending good behavior).

Innovative, full-service games provider Yggdrasil Gaming, has unveiled Robotnik, its third video slot game following the successful launch of Jokerizer and Winterberries, with a number of its partners going live with the title today.
Robotnik is a high variance video slot based on a modern interpretation of Strauss’s Blue Danube and Stanley Kubrick’s cult science fiction feature film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’.
The game centres around the 3D character Robotnik who suddenly appears on the screen to unleash ‘wilds’ and a host of intriguing bonus features. It is being heavily promoted in the Nordic market on television, print and online media.
Robotnik follows hot on the heels of high-roller slot games Jokerizer and Winterberries, the first two titles in Yggdrasil’s growing casino portfolio.
