The Reel Life salutes two shoplifters

A common feature of The Reel Life concerns the wacky hijinx of shoplifters. But even we are baffled, and impressed, by two women in Oklahoma.

According to the New York Post, Ailene Brown and Shmeco Thomas were arrested for trying to hide $2,600 worth of clothing, shoes and accessories under their body fat at a TJ Maxx.

The two women were caught by an employee after trying to conceal "four pairs of boots, three pairs of jeans, a wallet and some gloves in the creases under their breasts and across their bellies," according to the Post.

It is unclear if Brown and Thomas returned the items. The Reel Life sure hopes not.

A soon-to-be grandmother who hit the jackpot at Slotland.com last week will have a sack full of money for her Christmas shopping this year. The player known as ROBINSONJ, who's expecting her first grandchild next year, won $78,112 playing her favorite Slotland game, the Jacks or Better video poker slot game.

The jackpot winner has been playing regularly at Slotland for about three years.

Smaller wins over the years have kept her going, but this is the first time the avid slots player has won anywhere near this much money.

"I was shaking! I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen!" she said. "The timing couldn't be better with Christmas coming and a new grandchild to shop for!"
