The Reel Life: Looking for family edition

23 Dec 2009

Family is an important part of the holiday season for most people. The Reel Life is no exception. We try to pry ourselves away from the online slots once in awhile to get some face-to-face time with the relatives – especially the ones we've really missed. A 4-year-old in Tennessee also missed one of his relatives, and he took a strange route to try and see him.

According to CBS News, 4-year-old Hayden Wright was found wandering his Chattanooga neighborhood early in the morning, drunk and wearing a little girl's dress he stole from a Christmas tree. According to his mother April, Hayden was "trying to find his father. He wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that's where his daddy is."

Hayden got a 12-ounce can of Bud Light in his grandfather's cooler when he began his journey to find his dad. The journey made a pit-stop at his neighbor's house, where he stole five Christmas gifts after walking through an unlocked door. One of the gifts was a dress, which Hayden put on.

April found Hayden outside her house at 1:45 am, still nursing that Bud Light. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for alcohol consumption.

The Reel Life salutes Hayden for getting his Christmas off to an early start. We usually aren't drunk and wandering outside until at least Christmas Eve.

Get in the fast lane grandma, the Bingo game is ready to roll!
