The Reel Life: Follow those tracks edition

As the Reel Life writes this column this week, a large portion of the United States is being socked with a huge snowstorm. A word of advice to would-be car thieves: wait until the snow melts before you go digging through those glove boxes.

Earlier this week, police in Idaho Falls, Idaho, discovered suspicious tracks in the snow which went from car to car. They followed the tracks to a home, where they arrested Cade Thomas Dixon on burglary charges.

"Police said Dixon had tried to enter more than 100 vehicles, most of which were locked," reports KIFI-TV. "A small amount of cash and a GPS unit were taken from two of the vehicles."

The Reel Life would never advocate breaking the law, but we salute Dixon's brazen attempt. The least you can do is backtrack a bit, like Danny in The Shining.
