The Reel Life: Don't call 911 edition
12 Jan 2012
According to The Smoking Gun, a 47-year-old Missouri woman did just that on Wednesday morning. Suzanne Basham told police that she had paid $40 for what she believed was crack cocaine. The substance turned out to be sugar.
Basham wanted police to arrest her dealer on theft charges and to have her $40 returned to her. Police went to the address where Basham said she bought her sugar. The residents at that house said they didn't sell drugs and refused to let authorities in the home.
However, the cops did find out that Basham was in possession of a crack pipe. So she was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Reel Life knows the pain of being duped on a deal. Not necessarily crack cocaine, but we understand where Basham is coming from. But sometimes you just need to tip your hat, realized that life has beaten you this day, and move on to the next.
