The Reel Life doesn't steal deodorant

24 Feb 2011

The Reel Life was shocked that a N.J. man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for stealing $180 worth of deodorant. Then we took a closer look at the man being sentenced.

According to The Jersey Journal, Newark resident Eric Warren, 43, was sentenced to the extended prison term for the Jan. 20, 2010 robbery of a Rite-Aid Pharmacy. Warren stuffed the major amount of deodorant in his pants, and was caught by the store's manager.

At first glance, 15 years in prison seems a little excessive for this crime. We then read a little bit more about Mr. Warren, or as he is also known, James Banks, Anthony Hall, James Smith, Maurice Tatlor, Maurice Teller, Jerrell Warren, Jerrle Warren, Jerrlle Warren, Jerrell Werren, John Williams, Michael Williams, Maurice Taylor, James Wilson and Joe Wilson.

Warren has been arrested a whopping 75 times in the past 23 years. The stiff sentence was a result of that.

"It was a fair sentence given the fact that he has been steadily committing crimes - all theft-related - since 1988," said Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Karen M. Kazanchy.

The Reel Life agrees with the 15-year sentence after closer inspection, but we have to give props to Warren for his amazing criminal record, his many aliases, and his ability to stuff $180 worth of deodorant in his pants.

Get Busted!

Busted!, the latest one-of-a-kind video slots game at Win A Day Casino, is a retro comic book-style cops and robbers adventure with a spine-tingling Bonus Game. Busted! is three games in one: a classic 17 payline video slot, a Double Up round and a "Cops and Robbers" bonus game.

For the "Cops and Robbers" bonus game, players choose to be either a robber or a cop and then collect symbols related to their character. When all five special cop or robber symbols have been collected the bonus game begins. The Double Up bonus game – a chance to double winnings from the last spin – is triggered when the Double symbol appears on the rightmost wheel of a winning spin.

"Players usually get excited about a new game," said manager Michael Hilary, "But we've really had an extraordinary response to Busted!"

"At first I thought it was just another game that wouldn't hold my attention long," said Harry J. "Five days later it's taken the place of Slot 21 as my favorite game. Busted! is truly outstanding -- it plays fast and it pays great. I've never played a game that serves up so many wins!"

Like all slots games at Win A Day Casino, the new Busted! is tied to the site's progressive jackpot, which is currently just over $100,000. As regulars at Win A Day Casino know, that means it could be due for another big jackpot payout any day now.
