The Reel Life: Cruiser crushing tractor edition
9 Aug 2012
Roger Pion, a 34-year-old from Newport, Vt., apparently wasn't happy that the Orleans County police department had charged him with possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. So how did he respond? Allegedly by driving a tractor over seven of the department's cruisers in the station's parking lot.
He did approximately $250,000 worth of damage and briefly escaped, as the police officers inside the station had no way to pursue him.
They eventually caught up with him a mile and a half down the road and arrested him, charging him with seven counts of felony mischief, misdemeanor unlawful mischief, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, gross negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
If this was Pion's reaction to a marijuana and resisting arrest charge, the Reel Life shutters to think of how he'll respond to these much more serious charges.
