The Reel Life: Chick-fil-A and college edition

The Reel Life weighed a number of factors when we selected a college years ago. Where the nearest Chick-fil-A was in relation to campus, however, didn't factor in our decision.

Cassanova McKinzy is a high school senior from Alabama. He is also a prominent linebacker who received many scholarship offers to play football in college. Clemson was one of the schools that offered McKinzy a scholarship. After visiting the campus, McKinzy had a few problems with the school.

"[It was] kind of the environment and plus they had no Chick-fil-A on campus," he said. "You had to go like, probably like 15 minutes off campus to go to like a real restaurant. Their café was kind of small."

The funny part of this story, besides the fact that McKinzy based at least part of his college decision on the prevalence of eating establishments, is the fact that Clemson has a Chick-fil-A on campus.

McKinzy ultimately decided to take his football talents to Auburn, where there are three Chick-fil-A's within the city limits. Thankfully, The Reel Life's college had a Chick-fil-A on campus as well, so we never had to make a life-changing decision like McKinzy.
