The Reel Life: Breaking Bad edition

27 Feb 2014

If the critically acclaimed TV show "Breaking Bad" taught us one thing, it is that selling and using crystal meth can destroy lives. But apparently, some viewers didn't get the message.

In Illinois, 21-year-old Daniel Kowalski was arrested for making meth inside his house after cops received a tip that he was cooking again. Kowalski had already been arrested for the same offense in July.

Now, we don't know for certain whether Kowalski was a "Breaking Bad" fan or had ever seen the show. But we can make a pretty good assumption that he had, based on the fact that he was wearing a "Los Pollos Hermanos" t-shirt -- the infamous fried chicken joint from "Breaking Bad" owned by drug lord Gus Fring -- when he was nabbed by police.

The Reel Life loves "Breaking Bad," and we love this story, too. Gus Fring, the TV character, would surely be proud. Vince Gilligan, the show's creator, probably cracked a pretty big smile when he found out.

It's all fun and games when it comes to meth. Unless you are Kowalski, or anyone else who produces, sells or uses it. Then you're probably going to prison.
