The Reel Life: Biting ears edition
15 Mar 2012
According to USA Today, an angry father at a 6th grade basketball game attacked an opposing coach after his son lost his game and bit off part of the coach's ear.
The incident occurred in Springfield, Mass. in the Catholic Youth Organization basketball finals. Timothy Lee Forbes, the father of a player on the losing team, punched the winning team's coach. He then pulled his best Mike Tyson impersonation and chomped on the coach's ear.
Forbes fled the scene after the assault but turned himself in two days later. He pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct, assault and battery, felony mayhem and other charges. The unnamed coach underwent surgery at a local hospital and was released.
Let this be a lesson to all of you out there, not just you parents. Don't ever, ever, put yourself in a situation where you can legitimately be compared to Mike Tyson. Nothing good will come of it.
