A man in southwest Ohio recently returned an overdue library book. He borrowed it in 1967.

James Phillips, who borrowed History of the Crusades nearly 50 years ago from the University of Dayton, mailed the book back to the college along with a letter of apology.

University officials say they won't charge Phillips, even though his late fees would now amount to a whopping $350.
