The Reel Life

1 Apr 2010

The Reel Life has dabbled in dating throughout our young life. Luckily, we've never fallen in love with a married woman. A man in England wasn't so lucky, and he decided to profess his love in an interesting way.

According to the Daily Mail, Finland native Ilkka Karttunen has been sent to prison after breaking into a colleague's house and downloading child pornography to her husband's computer. According to the prosecution in the case, Karttunen believed that he could a forge a relationship with the woman if he could somehow frame the husband and break up the marriage.

The Daily Mail says that Karttunen "sneaked into (the woman's) home in Southend, Essex, while she and her family were asleep and used the family computer to download images of children being abused."

The husband was originally arrested after his computer's hard drive was sent anonymously to police. Officers who investigated the case found evidence of Karttunen's involvement when they "discovered a computer that contained the entire contents of his victim's home computer, including family photographs, pictures of her husband's bank statements, credit and debit cards," according to the Daily Mail.

Karttunnen denied the charges against him, but a jury convicted him on Friday and sentenced him to four and a half years in prison.

While The Reel Life agrees this Finnish man thought outside the box in the pursuit of love, we're not shedding any tears for him now that he's spending the next four-and-half years in jail.

The power of 10

The Fortune Longue Group continued its habit of paying out big winners last week when ten people won a combined total of more than $140,000.

Royal Vegas Online Casino saw four of the top ten Fortune Lounge winners playing at its casino. Together, these four players won a combined total of $56,390. Masayuki K. was hailed as the top overall winner after taking home $20,000 on the Deuces and Joker Video Poker machine.

The closest casino to rival the Royal Vegas' success was 7 Sultans Casino. Winners from this casino such included Entesar N. and Jeanne L., who won big prizes playing two popular feature slot games. Their combined winnings totaled $27,230.

Congrats to everyone, and may the jackpots keep coming!
