The Reel Life

14 Jan 2010

The Reel Life has never suffered a case of mistaken identity. We rarely leave our house because of our online slots lifestyle, so it's difficult for someone to mistake us for anyone else if they can't see us in the first case. A man from New Jersey wasn't so lucky.

According to Springfield News-Leader, three men were arrested on first-degree kidnapping charges after abducting a man in New Jersey and driving nearly 1,200 miles to Missouri. There was only one problem (besides the kidnapping of course) – they abducted the wrong man.

Douglas Stangeland, Lonnie Swarnes and Andrew Wadel approached New Jersey pet store owner Jeff Muller and asked him if he was indeed Jeff Muller. When Muller said that he was, they shot him with a stun gun and bound his hands and feet, according to authorities.

It was all for naught, authorities said, because the three men grabbed the wrong guy.

"Based on the investigation thus far, we believe this to be a case of mistaken identity," said Gregory Mueller, an assistant prosecutor in Sussex County, N.J.

According to the News-Leader, Vernon County Sheriff Ron Peckman described the three as "bumbling idiots."

It is unknown why the three men wanted to abduct a Jeff Muller in the first place.

The Reel Life can now add "threat of being mistakenly kidnapped" to the list of reasons why we'll limit our time outside and stick to the online slots.

Happy New Year

Diane H was making a cup of tea when she won £3,807 playing Full House Emerald at Jackpotjoy – but that was just the beginning!

"Thank you so much for my big win! I didn't ever expect to win! I'd left tickets running while I was cooking the tea. I thought my computer had switched to points when I came back but I kept refreshing and it still said the same! It was a lovely surprise and much needed!"

But the winning experience didn't stop there.

"I was so excited to have won, I couldn't sleep. In the end I got up and bought some tickets for the Emerald Room and then went back to bed.

"The next morning I turned the computer on and found I'd won the jackpot in there as well! To win one jackpot was amazing but to win two on the same day - absolutely fantastic!"

Twice is definitely as nice!
