The Reel Life

19 Mar 2009

The Reel Life knows that when a miracle occurs, you do everything in your power not to screw it up. For us, if we ever win one of those huge progressive jackpots, you can bet we're not going rob a bank afterwards. Frankly, that wouldn't make any sense. Which is why we're puzzled about the story of a California man who was the recipient of a miracle two years ago, but today finds him in trouble with the law.

According to MSNBC, David Blancarte was arrested on charges of contempt of court charge stemming from a domestic violence case; an unfortunate incident that too often occurs in the world. However, what makes this story different is that Blancarte was formerly a paraplegic who recently had regained the ability to walk.

Blancarte was paralyzed 21 years ago in a motorcycle accident. Then, according to MSNBC, "two years ago, after being bitten by a brown recluse spider he started feeling sensations again in his legs and spent eight months in physical therapy before being able to walk."

But on Friday, he was arrested by Manteca Police on the domestic abuse charges.

The Reel Life wants to assure its readers that we will never hit a woman. And when we finally hit that miraculous jackpot, you can bet we'll be staying out of any police reports.

Get in the fast lane grandma, the Bingo game is ready to roll!

Diamonds are forever

Claire T was blown away after she won £4,573 playing Jackpot Joy's Diamond Bonanza!

"I was proper surprised!" beamed the lucky lass from Oxfordshire. "I always play Diamond Bonanza, it's definitely my favorite game."

"I was home alone when I won but texted my partner straight away and then took a moment to calm myself back down!"

Like most winners, she's got no shortage of ideas for how she should spend her new balance.

"I've got loads planned for the money - I can fix my car, I'll get in new windows and a shower. It couldn't have come at a better time!"

All that and the sun is shining! Happy days!
